HOW DOES TRIVAGO ADS WORK?

You probably already know Trivago: a price comparison site that, in addition to providing visibility to the establishment, puts it on the map and helps to make a purchase decision. But do you know how you could use it in your digital marketing strategy? We'll tell you about it!

The Trivago platform shows users a wide range of hotels and holiday apartments, allows them to compare prices and shows the best deals. Advertising your business here can be very positive and help you increase your conversions. That's why we tell you how it works in this information pill.

Trivago Ads allows us to add a link to the hotel's website in its file so that it can compete with the rest of OTAS and thus derive traffic to increase direct sales. At the moment, it can only be activated with clients who have Witbooking. On the other hand, as with Google Hotel Ads, you have full control of the tool (Rate Connect). It presents two ad options:

 

  • Pay per click (CPC): a fee is paid for each click on Trivago's official rate (cost per click).
     
  • Pay per booking: a fixed commission is paid on the total value of each direct booking received through the platform.


Within the pay per click option we have four different options depending on whether we want more conversion (CPA) or more visibility (Brand Awareness):

  • CPA reduction

  • Moderate conversion and clicks

  • Increased clicks

  • Consistent high position
